Working with Jennifer Dovidio and her husband Will in Rochester has been fantastic.
Her workshops were filled and everyone learned the basics on aerial silks,
hammock, and hoop. We look forward to posting pictures of the workshops on
our Facebook pages in the next few days. Visit their site here.
Here's what Jennifer had to say about the weekend:
Review of Lynn Coleman and Aerial Arts Workshop at Aerial Arts of Rochester
From the very beginning Lynn has been a joy to work with. Even though
I had a million questions and concerns, Lynn was patient and understanding.
I have appreciated her expertise and knowledge that she brought not only to
my facility but the entire industry. Lynn went above and beyond my
expectations, willing to help me wherever possible. I could not have asked
for a better person to lead me through the process of bringing the Aerial
Arts to Rochester, NY. Her ability to teach and coach students effectively
in a way that everyone can easily understand is an accomplishment within
itself. Many can teach, few can be as great as Lynn. Her curriculum has
proven to be a success keeping safety as its number one priority and I am
thrilled that I am able to continuing teaching this program.

We performed aerial fabric, trapeze, hoop, and bungee trapeze at Apogaea the
Colorado regional Burning Man event. Our portable rig held up well and
allowed for lots of skill sharing between the Denver/Boulder aerial
communities. Our new group, The High Flying Aerial Camp will continue to
meet over the summer sharing new ways of working with aerial fabric.

May 11 the middle school students at Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy put on a Cirque style show for the Kindergarten and First Graders. After a short 6 weeks they created characters, learned juggling, parkour, aerial fabric, hoop, and hammock. We will continue this program next year. It has been great to have an aerial program with Denver Public Schools. It was also a pleasure for Jennifer to perform with a Polynesian dance group.

Finally, Laura, one of our former performers visited Denver this month. She is flying as a trapeze artist with the Shriners Circus. It was wonderful to see her fantastic flying!
